Important Announcement

Assalamu Alaikum Parents,

After consideration of the Ramadan\’s timing and the remaining academic obligations and other school events for the year, GSA has decided to start alternate school hours during Ramadan.

Since it is approaching the end of the year, the majority of the students\’ curriculum has been covered. Also, we have done our best to reduce the school hours using elective classes such as PE, clubs, and (for upper school) completed online courses. The last two weeks is mainly reserved for testing, so the extra time home will provide much needed opportunity for the students to prepare as well. We do not want our students to feel like they have to choose between spending time at the masjid with their families and school attendance. The new hours allows students to get an extra hour of sleep after suhoor and to get home an hour earlier to complete their work/test prep and rest between school and evening activities.

The school day for Ramadan hours starts at 8:45am. Arrival or drop-off will now be 8:45am-9:00am. The day will end at 2:30pm, so dismissal will be from 2:30pm-2:40pm according to the new schedule. In anticipation for the start of Ramadan, the new schedule will begin Tuesday May 15th and will be in effect whether or not Ramadan actually starts that day.

If you have any questions please contact (561) 395-3011 extension 801-Sis. Hayat (for elementary) or extension 706-Sis. Suzie (for upper school).

 Jazzakum Allah Kheir.
