Discipline:
Our simple rules are made to encourage each child to carry out his/her duties to Allah, self, teachers, and classmates, and to ensure basic health and safety. We believe that prevention is the key to almost every discipline situation. We offer positive reinforcement of good behavior and redirection when necessary to minimize confrontation. Respect and encouragement are shown for the direct expression of feelings. No one is permitted to physically harm another person or property. Children are expected to treat other children and staff members with respect. Physical facilities of the school must not be abused. The role of the teachers and the parent helpers is to facilitate and model the development of the child's problem-solving skills. The children are guided to see the consequences of their behavior and to solve their own problems. Parents and teachers need to apply uniform standards in the classroom and there will be discussion of suitable classroom techniques at the parents orientation meeting. We are not equipped to handle children with severe behavioral or learning disabilities. In cases of habitual inappropriate behavior we will work closely with the parents in identifying the source of the problem and ways of changing those patterns. If we, the staff and parents together, have exhausted our resources to elicit appropriate behavior and improvement does not occur, parents will be encouraged to seek professional counseling.
Withdrawal:
We require that the school be notified as much in advance
as possible if you intend to withdraw your child. There is
no credit for mid-term with drawl. Parents must realize that
the monthly expense of running the school is same every month,
irrespective of whether a student is present or not. Parents
whose children are enrolled from September, must sign a contract
for paying tuition fees for the entire academic year of 10
months. Parents whose children are enrolled from January,
must sign a contract for paying tuition fees for 6 months.
Illness:

suffering from any illness that can be transmitted to others.
Parents are advised to not bring ill children to the school
and staff will not allow any ill child to be left. If a child

the child will be notified to pick up the child and take him/her
home. If parents know in advance that their child will be

p.m.
Tuition:
Garden of the Sahaba Academy is a non-profit educational institution.

The tuition assistance program is designed for the under-privileged
children whose parents desire to send their children to Islamic
School but do not have the financial ability to pay the required
