Curriculum:

"Islam" is the core theme of our curriculum. Thus, Islamic teachings are taught both as separate subjects and are also integrated with general education to provide our very young with a positive, nurturing, loving, and challenging atmosphere where children are encouraged to play, explore, create, and learn at the same time, according to the teachings of Islam and in line with their own individual abilities, and strengths.

    Classroom computer centers integrate technology with the daily learning experience. In line with our Kindergarten through 5th grade curriculum that integrates active, cooperative learning style, various activity centers are a vital component of the preschool curriculum to enable children to enjoy their learning experience.

    Islamic Curriculum

    Islam encourages Muslims to learn and seek knowledge. Thus, in line with its vision Garden of the Sahaba Academy recognizes the importance of raising and empowering generations of young Muslims to become strong believers who seek excellence in all their endeavors. Garden of the Sahaba Academy School offers an Islamic and regular academic educational environment based on the knowledge of the holy Qur'an, the Sunnah, and the national and state academic standards. Garden of the Sahaba Academy adopts a proactive style of learning that promotes the partnership between teachers, students, parents, other educational entities, and the community at large, and encourages a community of learners to unite in a celebration of learning.

    The Islamic Studies curriculum focuses on the moral teachings, beliefs and practices of Islam and on developing each students comprehension of and commitment to Islam. Garden of the Sahaba Academy emphasizes an awareness-oriented approach that works with each student's individual needs and abilities to cope with the challenges of being a young Muslim living in America.

    Our Islamic program aims to solidify the deep and firm aqeedah. The curriculum fosters awareness of the relationship between Islam and other academic subjects (language arts, arts, math, science, social studies, health and physical education) and the daily environment of the students. The curriculum will link between the learning process and the actual environment around the student in order to gain an in-depth knowledge and truly live "Islam". Garden of the Sahaba Academy Islamic Studies curriculum includes the following:

    Quranic Studies:

    The Quranic studies curriculum concentrates on memorization and proper recitation of the Quran. The Quranic studies curriculum includes the following subjects:
